Explanation Of New Rate Structure
Each year we have tried different ways to fund raise and each year it
becomes more difficult to find an easy and effective way to do it,
including having a challenging time finding enough volunteers.
Therefore beginning in 2012 we will be incorporating fundraising at
the time of registration. It will work as follows…..
During the first week of practice (for both Flag and Tackle), for each
player registered, you will get 5 raffle tickets (value of $25….$5 per
ticket). You may choose to keep all the tickets yourself or sell them
to recover the $25 charge. Each week, (beginning with tackle game
1 thru game 7), we will draw 3 winners from the tickets submitted.
First prize is $300, second prize is $100 and third prize is $50. This
gives you 21 chances to win throughout the year for each ticket.
By incorporating fundraising at the time of registration it should make
things easier for all as we avoid the complexity of handing out
fundraising forms, collecting them and then the logistic challenge of
getting the items to you. In the past our fund raising has also come at
a time when school starts and you are also hit with school fund
raising, this will avoid that conflict as well.
As a result for tackle our new rates are $165 (includes a $5
registration increase, our first in 3 years). If you sell the raffle tickets,
then your registration costs are reduced to $140. In keeping with our
tradition of making JP affordable for families, the cost for two players
from the same immediate family is $310…3 or more players, it still
remains at $310.
For Flag the cost is $130, $240 for 2 or more players from the same
immediate family.
