We have our first game Saturday ( 9/11/2010 ) at 7:00PM Please be at the practice field behind the home stands by the turf field at 5:45PM in game uniforms ready to start practicing! :) We are playing the CHIEFS and they have some excellent talent. We will do our best and see where we stand.

The Saturday Practice will begin promptly at 8:30AM...I believe this is picture day so please dress in your full GAME UNIFORM!!! I will double check and let you all know Tuesday about pictures...Additionally, we will practice Saturday morning right where we had our second scrimmage...

Critical Rule- Game Ejections:
Just so we are clear....if one of our players is ejected from a game by an official, by a coach or a board member....that player will not play in the next game...no exceptions. It's a pre-defined decision. Please help by talking to the players and remind them of good sportsmenship.
Our second scrimmage was a success! We learned a lot and hopefully have made many fixes this week leading up to our first game versus the Chiefs!!! They are loaded with talent and very well coached!!! I am looking forward to seeing how we respond to this challenge. The Cheifs have two outstanding backfields and a very athletic line!
That should be all the motivation we need to be sharp this week in practice and do our best!!! Centers and QB's please report at 5:45 sharp so we may address a new rule change for centers and how they snap the ball. It will be a key fix to make for this week. I thought the defense in the scrimmage was better than the week before. While we struggled with some of our blocking assignments on offense I felt the boys worked hard as the scrimmage progressed to show they got better. It certainly looked like GOOD, BETTER, and even a few glimpes of BEST!!! :)

It will be a huge learning experience Saturday night!!! The team that makes fewer turnovers and executes their game plan will have the best chance at success. Games like this are played with emotion and the team that responds best to the adversity found in almost every game will have the best chance to be successful. Mistakes happen and teams score sometimes...What matters is what we do immediately after these plays to respond back positively!. :)

Again, thank you for sharing your fine young boys with our coaching staff. I can barely recognize them from the first day of practices

The Coaching Staff :)

I am PROUD of all of YOU!!! Every time you take the field, work so hard, treat opposing players and coaches with respect...It is a GREAT "joy" for me to see this!!! Thank You!!

Everybody "wants" to be a champion!!! Right...Are you willing to PREPARE to be a champion? To do the right things when no one is looking? To seek excellence in everything you do? That is what makes a CHAMPION!!! Good,Better, Best! is how we get there.

Remember to go hard on every play until...The whistle blows!! Then peel yourself off the ground and...Do it again! If you do that and use your best technique and effort you will be a success every time you step on the field...No matter what the score says!!!

What we are trying to do is gain an advantage over every other player...position by position and play by play...To do that we as coaches have to teach, encourage, and correct EVERY player on our team...It has been said that great teams are not made by their "SUPERSTARS" but rather the average players on the team who play far above average and are ready to make plays when given the opportunity...I try to coach that way and enjoy the trials and tribulations of the underdog!!! I also love players that can motivate others...either by example or through encouragement...which one are you?
